Since DDLC’s inception, producers Martha and Dino De Laurentiis have been behind numerous critically and commercially-successful films including the Oscar-nominated CRIMES OF THE HEART, FIRESTARTER, David Lynch’s DUNE and BLUE VELVET, MANHUNTER, RAW DEAL, and Sam Raimi’s ARMY OF DARKNESS. They have helped launch the careers of some of Hollywood’s top directors, the Wachowski Brothers’ debut film BOUND, as well as making Jonathan Mostow’s first two features, BREAKDOWN starring Kurt Russell, and U-571 starring Matthew McConnaughy. Recently, DDLC has brought to screen the latest outings of the world’s most beloved villain, with HANNIBAL directed Riley Scott and RED DRAGON directed by Brett Ratner. |

Our Past.
The Dino De Laurentiis Company was established in 1983 to provide a home for the entertainment projects of Martha De Laurentiis and her legendary husband Dino De Laurentiis, the pioneer of international film finance and prolific Oscar-winning Italian producer of many classic films, including LA STRADA, THE NIGHTS OF CABIRIA, BARABBAS, WAR AND PEACE, BARBARELLA, SERPICO, DEATH WISH, THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, KING KONG and CONAN THE BARBARIAN.
Our Present.
For 2007, DDLC has three films scheduled to release HANNIBAL RISING, THE LAST LEGION, and VIRGIN TERRITORY. It has a first-look deal with Universal Pictures, where it’s based in the bungalow originally built for Alfred Hitchcock. |
